This is the most persistent question set before societies: what shall we do about the fact that we don’t have anyone good enough to wield authority, and yet we cannot avoid being interdependent? Our answers thus far have been governments and corporations and community organizations and the red cross and the church. As for myself, i don’t know any answer for this question. All my hyperbolic messianic aspirations ultimately amount to little actual theory. But when i look at the world as it has become, i cannot help saying wrong, wrong, wrong. This cannot be it. I am a revolutionary without a cause, i do not know what i want. I know that it is not this. At most, i know a method of change- but what it will lead to, i cannot predict. This thought alone inspires me: you cannot break that which is already broken.
