i’ve had a weird day

  1. Reality acts according to its nature.
  2. Reality is insane.
  3. It is insane to treat logically with something which is insane.
  4. Reality, being insane, treats logically with itself through humanity.
  5. Humanity is sane, but lives in an insane universe. It is insane to be sane in an insane universe. Humanity is therefore insane precisely because it is sane.
  6. Humanity usually treats with the universe as if it was sane. This is a purely irrational act, as the universe is insane, and therefore proceeds from the nature of reality, which is insanity, but does not proceed from the nature of humanity, which is sanity.
  7. Humanity, being sane, may discover that the universe is insane.
  8. Having discovered that the universe is insane, the sane course of action is to go insane. This action proceeds from the nature of humanity, which is sanity, but it does not proceed from the nature of reality, which is insanity.
  9. Humans may instead choose to reason logically from the fact that the universe is insane. This proceeds from both the nature of humanity, which is sanity, and the nature of reality, which is insanity.
  10. A human which acts according to its own nature but not according to the nature of reality is not acting according to its own nature at all, because its own nature is a consequence of the nature of reality.
  11. A human which acts according to the nature of reality but not according to its own nature is not acting according to the nature of reality at all, because the nature of reality has as a consequence its own nature.
  12. Only a human which acts according to both the nature of reality and its own nature constitutes a case of reality acting according to its nature.
  13. Humans conclude that reality acts according to its nature only because of their rationality.
  14. But the nature of reality is insanity, implying that reality acts according to insanity.
  15. Therefore the assertion that reality acts according to its nature, despite being rational, leads to irrational conclusions.
  16. This makes it a distinctly human assertion.
